Meeting in Malta

On April 26th the second meeting of the SEEP Project started, hosted by OAF Malta. The meeting started with two days dedicated to the management of the project, and will continue until the end of the week with an informal Training Session that will focus on Learning Styles but also Networking and hands-on video tecniques to be applied while teaching.

A project is made up of ... people

Cooperative projects like SEEP are actually run by people - this is a factor that is not always considered while developing this kind of projects. The results of such projects are the results of the joint work by several different teams.

And while making sure that a team is as productive as it could be is not always an easy task, things get even more complicated when different teams, coming from different countries and with different views and different philosophies, have to work together on a set of shared goals. On the other hand such kind of international cooperation brings enormous value to the project, as it becomes a common ground for sharing experiences and different approaches, with an interesting cross fertilization. Sometimes even hard discussions can bring new insights and foster new results.

In general the kick-off meeting is the occasion for people who have just started to work together to actually meet and get to know each other. This first meeting allows all partecipants to understand the different point of views and the different ways of reacting to issues that different people have. Becoming friends with the people in the other teams has an enormous impact on the common work to be carried out. The other teams are not seen any more as a sort of "enemies" but in fact become friends with whom you have shared some days and some experiences which now make you feel you all belong to the same family, to a transnational team facing a challenging objective, making a vision written in a project proposal into something real and living, changing it and adapting it for the best in order to bring about results that can really leave their mark.

Therefore we all look forward to the kick-off meeting, something that will definitely leave its mark on the life of the project and will greatly impact it in the future !

First Coordination Meeting

ROMA2009The SEEP partners have meet in Rome on November 25th/27th for the project kick-off meeting. The 1st project training on "Foresight Methodology and Technologies for Blended Learning" took place on November 30th and December 1st and 2nd. The meeting was hosted at the premises of Università degli Studi "Guglielmo Marconi".

The meeting was a very friendly one, and apart from discussing some of the issues that the project faces at the beginning, there was time to chat and get to know each other. A great way to start the project .

SEEP is Live !

The SEEP Network is now live! Thanks to funding from the European Union a network including 15 partners from all over Europe has been setup and will work on a common European Platform for Science Education.

The project started on October 1st, 2009, and will end on September 30th, 2012.
